If I could, I would like to be a cartoonist, or at least be able to illustrate my own children's books. I've been trying to improve my drawing skills by reading and studying other artists' work. So, here I have a picture I drew, scanned, and attempted to color using GIMP. I don't think it's too bad, but then again, they say mothers love their ugly children too. Let me know what you think.

It's nice, just make sure not to put it in the same web comic over and over with different dialog bubbles coming out. That's just tacky. :)
You should do just that Meg. You are super talented and not to mention HILARIOUS! I would love to do something like that as well - we will have to compare ideas and such sometime ...
Thanks Chels! Coming from someone who I also thought had genuine artistic talent, that means a lot to me! I still some of those silly stories we wrote and illustrated for each other. They make me laugh!
